No fancy photos or presentation today just some photographic evidence that I was busy cooking this week but it happened to be 10pm at night which is not a good time for photos due to a lack of good natural light. The photos aren’t up to scratch but they’ll do to give you an idea of what was consumed in the Italian foodie house this week. Monday was the above bruschetta with asparagus(spanish), poached egg, crispy pancetta and a drizzle of balsamic – delicious.
Tuesday – cod with caponata(a sicilian sweet and sour dish of mixed vegetables)
Wednesday – beef tagliata – rare beef served with rocket, parmesan and lemon (this is so good, it’s going to be a regular in our house)
Thursday was orrechiette with purple sprouting broccoli, red onion, anchovies, toasted pine nuts and pecorino cheese – DELISH!!
Friday – orecchiette with tomato sauce, ricotta, rocket and pecorino. This is my next post so stay tuned. If you want any of the above recipes let me know and I’ll post them.
ciao:)
Hi, can you post the cod with caponata recipe please? Sounds delic!
Yes, Thursday’s orecchiette would be great…
I like the sound of tuesdays cod with caponata. Would love the recipe. I love itallian food, your blog was a great find for me.
oooooh I can’t decide… can you post all of them?!
Those photos are mouthwateringly good looking. I don’t know how you do it though. I mean, if those dishes were in front of me, I’d be tucking it. I would never have the patience to grab the camera first! It’s often happened with chocolate … its only after I’ve smudged, broken and eaten the bar that I remember woops I was suppose to take a photo!
Thursdays orecchiette recipe please. Had something similar in Valvona & Crolla in Edinburgh and it was fantastic. From memory I think they also added had a little Italian sausage meat and fennel
Mmm – delicious looking and sounding food. Please can we have the cod recipe and the asparagus recipe – they look so yummy! 🙂
